FAQS

Your Questions Answered

DO YOU ACCEPT PATIENTS WITH MOTOR VEHICLE ACCIDENT OR WCB CLAIMS OR WHO QUALIFY FOR AHS COVERAGE?

I do not accept WCB or motor vehicle accident claims and do not bill to AHS (Alberta Health Services).

To find nearby clinic options where you can access these services please follow the following links:

WCB: https://www.wcb.ab.ca/treatment-and-recovery/get-treatment/find-a-physiotherapist.asp

AHS: https://www.albertahealthservices.ca/info/Page17783.aspx

MVA: You can contact me directly for recommendations or call physiotherapy clinics in your area to find if they accept MVA claims - many do!

DO I NEED A DOCTOR’S REFERRAL?

No, but if you do have a referral to physiotherapy, please share that referral at or before your visit.

Physiotherapists are primary care providers with diagnostic assessment abilities, and are an excellent first-stop choice for pain or injury that is not severe enough to require an ER visit.

DO YOU DIRECT BILL TO EXTENDED HEALTH COVERAGE PLANS?

I do not provide direct billing.

You will receive an e-receipt after your appointments which you can submit to your extended health coverage provider.

DO YOU TREAT CHILDREN?

The vast majority of my training and experience in physiotherapy has been with active adult populations, so I do not treat children under the age of 16 except under special circumstances. As with medicine and dentistry, physiotherapy for children and youth involves unique considerations, training and skill sets. I recommend Calgary Youth Physiotherapy as a great option for young people who require physiotherapy.
